COVID-19 virus

To our patients,

We understand there is great apprehension concerning the COVID-19 virus. The providers and staff of Cypress Physicians Association have always been committed to providing optimal care to our patients and will continue to do so during this difficult period. In an effort to minimize potential spread of any contagious respiratory illnesses, while remaining focused on the health and safety of our patients, we have implemented the following protocols:
  • First, we have assigned medically trained personnel to our scheduling department to assist in identifying patients that may be considered high-risk for contagious respiratory illnesses. These personnel will be available to answer questions and will assist in scheduling patients at the most appropriate facility.
  • Second, any acutely ill patients (fever, cough, etc.) will be scheduled and treated at our Willowbrook clinic located at our 13215 Dotson Road, Ste 165, Houston, Tx 77070. The Mossy Oaks/Spring Woods location will be reserved for all other patient visits including chronic care, medication refills, minor surgical procedures, and physicals. We will not be rotating or sharing staff between the two clinics during this time as to minimize any potential cross-contamination.
  • Third, we will continue to follow stringent guidelines for continuous disinfection of our healthcare facilities as well as reinforcing proper handwashing before and after contact with patients.
Here are some tips to help prevent the spread of the disease: · Avoid close contact with people who are sick. · Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. · Stay home when you are sick. · Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Wash your hands well after. · Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe. · Follow CDC’s recommendations for using a facemask. o CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19. o **Facemasks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others.** · Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. o If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
Patients can also do their part in keeping the risk of contamination low by limiting the number of persons accompanying them at appointments to just one person, and when possible, refraining from bringing children to the clinic.
