D3 DROPS

Vitamin D has long been associated with bone health. A growing body of research has found that it may be protective against many diseases. Specifically it can prevent rickets . It also can promote healthy teeth. There is also suggestion that vitamin D deficiency can increase the risk of respiratory infection and type 1 diabetes in children.

Breastfeeding is the recommended method of infant feeding. Breast milk alone does not provide infants with adequate intake of vitamin D.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends a supplement of 400IU of Vitamin D per day for all breast fed infants. In November 2008 the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommended Vitamin D 400IU/per day for all infants in the first few days of life. The CDC (Centers of Disease Control) has also endorsed this idea. The CDC recommends formulations of 400 IU/ml. AlloAlts meets these criteria.

A CDC STUDY IN APRIL 2010 FOUND THAT MORE THAN HALF OF INFANTS WERE DEFICIENT IN VITAMIN D AND 1/3 WERE SEVERELY DEFICIENT.
