POLICIES
Most refills are given for a length of time sufficient until your next office visit. If you need to refill your prescription, have your pharmacy fax a request to our office at 281.537.0315. Refills are handled during regular office hours.
We always honor refill requests faxed from local and mail order pharmacies unless there is a change in the dosages or the patient is not adhering to physicians’ instructions.
To reduce the possibility of medication errors, our office does not accept phone refill requests directly from patients. This policy is meant to ensure the health and safety of all our patients.
APPOINTMENTS
Patients are seen by appointment only. Please contact the office during routine business hours to schedule an appointment. Same day appointments are available for sick visits and sudden illness.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Inform the office of any changes to name, insurance, or address. Patients who are late or walk-in without an appointment will be seen as the schedule allows. In order to best serve your needs, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment if you are over 30 minutes late.
If you cannot keep your appointment, please notify the office 24 hours in advance.
TELEPHONE CALLS
During office hours, phone calls are addressed in order of medical urgency. We make all efforts to return calls as quickly as possible. Messages left for the staff are checked continuously throughout the day. Please leave a phone number where you can be reached, and a pharmacy number if applicable. We are unable to return calls to numbers that do not accept blocked calls, so please disable this function temporarily.
After office hours and on weekends, a physician or physician assistant is available to handle urgent calls. Routine issues (medication refills, prior authorizations, lab results) and non-urgent messages are best addressed during the day when staff has access to your medical records. If you are having a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
